I had the honor to join the NAPIZUM team to develop their 6th edition of their magazine. In previous issues, the magazine had been focused on artists of all mediums, from all around the world. For the 6th issue we wanted to include local artist and implement the topic of “Misconceptions of Gender”. We choose this because we knew this resonated with many people within the DC communities. As a local magazine publication, we felt that it was our duty to make sure that the voices of these people were heard. In the process of making this issue, we had the privilege to interview and interact with people of these communities. We carefully curated artwork submitted to us that best portrayed the theme of this issue.
