An advocacy program under the National Association of Realtors (NAR), The American Property Owners Alliance is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization created to protect and support property owners. Formerly known as Home Ownership Matter, NAR was looking to rebrand the program to be more inclusive of home, land, and commercial real estate owners. They wanted to represent and support those who are essential to building a strong community. Their mission is educate property owners about federal issues, laws, and policies; to advocate for owners’ rights and interests; and to mobilize, when necessary, to secure those rights and interests.
